Supreme Court Issues Final Call for MCLE Payment Proofs and Full Implementation of the Judiciary ePayment Solution

The Supreme Court of the Philippines, through its Mandatory Continuing Legal Education Office, has issued MCLE Advisory No. 01, Series of 2025, announcing a final call for lawyers to submit proof of payment for previously paid MCLE fees that remain unverified.

This development also confirms the full implementation of the Judiciary ePayment Solution or JEPS, the official online payment platform for MCLE fees beginning July 1, 2025.

What This Means for Members of the Bar

Lawyers who previously made MCLE payments through bank deposits or fund transfers must now ensure that proper documentation has been submitted. Acceptable proof includes deposit slips, transfer confirmations, debit or credit memos, or other valid transaction records.

The advisory sets July 31, 2025 as the final deadline for submission of proof.

Payments without proper documentation may no longer be recognized. In certain cases, unidentified funds may be reported to the appropriate accounting office and could be forfeited in favor of the MCLE Fund.

Transition to the Judiciary ePayment Solution

Starting July 1, 2025, MCLE payments will be processed exclusively through the Judiciary ePayment Solution. This initiative forms part of the judiciary’s broader digital modernization program aimed at improving transparency, efficiency, and accurate record tracking.

Lawyers are strongly encouraged to:

• Review their MCLE compliance records
• Confirm that all prior payments have been properly credited
• Transition to the official ePayment platform moving forward

Failure to verify records in time may result in compliance issues that could affect standing with the Integrated Bar.

Why Early Action Matters

MCLE compliance is a continuing professional obligation. Administrative lapses, even when unintentional, can lead to unnecessary complications.

Timely verification and proper documentation help prevent:

• Delays in compliance certification
• Potential administrative issues
• Loss of previously paid amounts
• Unnecessary stress during renewal periods
